What makes the Signature line

Signature beds are upholstered bed frames with their own distinct headboard styling. They share the same made-to-order construction as the rest of our beds, but the headboards carry a more designed, signature look that is meant to be the first thing you notice when you walk into the room. Because they are bed frames, the headboard is integral rather than an afterthought, and the proportions are designed to read as a single, coherent piece of furniture.

A statement headboard does more than look good — it anchors the whole room, giving the bed a natural centre of gravity around which bedding, lighting and soft furnishings can be arranged. Because the headboard styling is the headline feature of a Signature bed, it is worth choosing it first and letting the rest of the scheme fall into place around it.

Upholstered in your choice of fabric

The fabric you choose decides how a Signature bed feels. Plush Velvet and Crushed Velvet bring depth and sheen that suit a statement headboard; Crushed Ice adds a finer texture; and woven fabrics such as Chenille, Naples, Coniston and Dumfries offer a softer, more considered matt finish — understated and tactile where a velvet would read as richer and more overtly luxurious. If you are drawn to velvet beds, a Signature frame in a deep velvet is a natural pairing — the fabric and the headboard styling each amplify the other.

A colour palette that goes the full range

Signature beds are available across our complete colour range. Grey, silver, cream and beige are the quiet, versatile options; black and navy make a grounding, confident statement; and emerald green, mustard, teal, pink, maroon, mocha, brown, champagne, mink and white let you push the bed to the centre of the scheme. Because these are luxury bed frames, the colour you specify is carried consistently across the headboard and frame.

Sizes, storage and headboard height

The Signature line is available in every standard size — Single (3ft), Small Double (4ft), Double (4ft6), King (5ft) and Super King (6ft).

Depending on the base, you can add a gas-lift ottoman base that lifts to reveal the full interior beneath the mattress, or divan drawers in a 2-drawer, 4-drawer or footend-drawer arrangement to keep day-to-day items close. The headboard styling carries through whichever base you choose.

Headboard height is the final decision, with 48", 54" floor-standing and 60" options in the range. On a Signature bed, a taller headboard leans fully into the statement the range is designed to make.

How to choose your Signature bed

Start with the headboard styling that appeals to you within the Signature line, then build outward into a luxury bed frame configured for your room. Pick the fabric family — velvet for sheen, a woven fabric for warmth — and then the colour. Decide how much storage you need, and finally a headboard height that suits the scale of the room and the height of your ceilings. In a room with high ceilings, a 60" floor-standing headboard makes the most of the vertical space; in a lower-ceilinged room, a 48" headboard keeps the proportions comfortable. Every choice is made to order, so you can specify each independently.
